Alumni Spotlight: Donovan Fiore Continues to Shine at Washington and Lee

After a stellar career on the field, track, and in the classroom at Chandler Prep, Donovan Fiore (’16) has continued to excel at the NCAA Level. At Chandler Prep, Fiore  earned All-Region and All-State honors in both soccer and track and field. In total, Fiore earned 9 varsity letters. As a Senior, he was selected as Co-Titan of the Year, as well as elected to the Athletic Hall of Fame.


At Washington and Lee University (VA, NCAA III), Fiore is currently in his sophomore year, competing in both indoor and outdoor track and field. A rare feat for a sophomore at the college level, Fiore was selected as a Captain of the Generals track and field team for the 17-18 season. As he continues to compete in the spring outdoor season at W&L, some of his individual and team accomplishments include:

  • School Indoor 200m Co-Record Holder, set in 2018

  • Indoor Team Conference Champion in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018

  • Outdoor Team Conference Champion in 2016-2017

  • 1st Team All Conference Selection in 2017 for 4x400m, and in 2018 for the 400m and 4x400m 

  • 2 Time Conference Athlete of the Week, both in 2018

  • All-Conference Sportsmanship Award Winner in 2017

  • All-Conference Academic Award Winner in 2017

  • W&L’s Athlete of the Week in 2018

  • 3 Time Team All-In Award Winner

    Next up, Fiore will compete at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) outdoor conference championship on April 20th and 21st. Best of luck Donovan! #TitanPride
